Sauti Yetu Center for African Women is a not for profit organization linking social justice activism with academic scholarship to promote and protect the rights of African women and girls. Sauti Yetu is an advocacy organization that works on women's rights within the global women's, human rights, and social justice movements.
Project Description
With the collaboration of Asmaa Donahue of Sauti Yetu, we have created a PowerPoint for the use of the organization in presentations, an email version, and a complete version, which includes music and a short video presentation of the represented neighborhoods and countries Sauti Yetu serves. In the PowerPoint, we address all of the areas that pertain specifically to this audience, potential donors and/or partners, as per Asmaa. We have created a template for the PowerPoint using traditional kente cloth as inspiration. In it, blue represents harmony and love; green represents spiritual renewal and growth; yellow represents preciousness and fertility; and purple represents all aspects of femininity.
